No one likes an ice cold shower to be the reason why they wake up. Found this out the hard way. It shut off right in the middle of my shower. I had shampoo in my hair when the lights went off. It took all of 30 seconds for all the hot water to fully disappear. YAY to eco-friendly resorts! We are going to be best friends. No power from 8 to 8. Terrific.
A very long day was ahead of us. Neither Daniel nor I was actually informed of this long day until breakfast when we were told, “We are leaving now. Why are you not wearing your swimsuits?” Crap. We hiked back up to the room and quickly got changed into something that would be great for a day of swimming.
We took boats around Coron visiting little islands around the resort from hot springs to lakes.

I’m snorkeling!
We may have not known exactly where we were going, or what was happening, but it was BEAUTIFUL! Lots of small pit stops full of adventure because Daniel and I didn’t understand where we were going. I tried to teach Daniel how to swim in one of the hot springs. It probably didn’t help that the water was burning his face. A for effort. Gotta love that he was willing to give it a go. One of the pit stops we jumped in the water at an old ship wreck and snorkeled around with hundreds of fish! AMAZING!

I am not an author. To be quite honest, I always hated English class. I write so I may share my experiences and remember the man I met on a bus who treated me to dinner with his family, paying and booking a hotel only to find out its out of business, fake crying in the Athens airport to get a ticket home, or remember the strangers who looked out for me on a bus. Some live, experience, and are fulfilled by what’s in their backyards. I find there is something truly exhilarating about cramming as many possessions into a bag as possible, only to complain you brought too many. This is my life out of a suitcase, hope you enjoy.
